My husband & four boys loved it! Information technology'due south a good, quick, cheap meal for a family unit on a budget. I got pre packaged Cole slaw & broccoli slaw. Nosotros also sprinkled sesame seeds on summit. So many textures & colorful. So I but had to cut the royal cabbage & I grated the carrots. Super simple & low carbs. Def. making over again & added to my favs. Folder.

This is really, really adept-and yeah, information technology is addictive. I messed with the veggies, using snowfall peas and bean sprouts and I didn't have any cherry-red cabbage and so I doubled the green cabbage. I also added hot peppers. I used marinated steak that I had sliced super thin instead of basis beef (didn't take any on hand). The "sauce" is pretty darn tasty. The addition of the lime and cilantro is primal here. Adding all the other veggies though, I recall, kept information technology away from being a "slaw" and more a stir-fry-nonetheless adept only I veered it away from its original intention. The taste is addictive, refreshing and well-baked. Information technology served nicely with a cold beer. Thanks for the recipe.

Afterwards reading the reviews, I did use less cabbage, more beef, more than ginger and aromatics, and some carbohydrate. I added blanched sugar snap peas, and I really liked this dish! Great for bento box the adjacent day... I had to hibernate some to brand sure information technology survived until and then! I really liked the versatility of this recipe. It does assistance clean out the fridge of veggie tidbits.
09/26/2017
I added 1/4 cup sake, 3 tbsp mirin, and 3 to iv tbsp of honey to the soy sauce and sesame oil; this remedied the very much needed sweet punch. I increased the ginger and garlic to 4 tbsp. I also used ii lbs of thinly sliced beef. I kept the cabbage amounts the same. The cilantro and lime hits are a must at the end. I bet those who say that they experience something is missing probably skipped the fresh cilantro and lime juice. It actually does make a difference. I volition probable add cayenne to it next time equally we love estrus around here.
08/18/2017
Made this this night as instructed but only used green cabbage as they were out of purple. Next time I will buy a bag of pre-cut coleslaw so information technology has both. I used about 1/4 cup gluten free tamari soy sauce since that'southward what I had left and used Trader Joe's Kokosnoot amminos for the remaining amount, which were really expert and had a hint of sugariness with the savory flavor of soy sauce without the soy. Highly recommend it. Also used Trader Joe'southward sirracha sauce for the hot sauce called for. Added quite a scrap since we like it adequately spicy. Definitely add the fresh lime juice and cilantro as called for, as it boosts the flavor. I also added some sesame seeds and liked that improver. My husband thought this was cracking and said he'd eat it again for sure! Information technology's a winner a our house
05/25/2017
Nosotros loved this recipe. Information technology makes a lot so we only used a quarter head of each cabbage and julienned the carrots. Information technology sounded like an unusual recipe, but the floors are wonderful!! Too doesn't hurt in that location's no carbs, gluten or dairy.
11/30/2017
This was skilful - I made information technology with left over cubed white turkey meat from Thanksgiving but I don't call back that detracted. It does need some additions I recall. I didn't accept cilantro which would definitely brand it better. I didn't want to add sugar because not everything I make should be sweet, merely I can meet how that could help. Wolfgang pucks Chinese chicken salad has what I call back is horseradish- sounds gross but information technology works! Green onions, sesame seeds, more than garlic - tahini? This is one to play with.
05/23/2016
Succulent and easy! Used ginger paste and coleslaw mix for the cabbage and carrots.. Did add a lilliputian stevia most the end. Thank you lot!
09/12/2018
I fabricated the recipe equally written. It is just an Asian stir fry with a really bad sauce (only soy and sesame oil) and ground beef . Don't waste product your time. There are too many great recipes out there.
12/05/2016
I loved this dish! Made it with ground turkey and used 2 bags of a shredded red cabbage/green cabbage mix with carrots. Added a habanero pepper in lieu of hot sauce. Everything else was the same (and no sugar). As the name says, I plant the flavor addicting and information technology was only with bully will power that I limited myself to one helping.
04/01/2019
Very good. Only y'all well-nigh need to add together a disclaimer. This recipe will clean you out everytime y'all eat it lol.
02/06/2018
Super yummy! I've fabricated this twice now, and the first fourth dimension I chopped onions and sauteed them with the garlic, and I actually liked it ameliorate with the onions. Will definitely brand it again!
05/26/2016
I am giving this five stars because information technology is so piece of cake to brand information technology your ain. These ingredients are a great base to add lots of flavors to or just savor "as is". I added ginger, turmeric, curry, and a scattering of other spices. I left out the beef and used just the veggies every bit a filler for chicken tacos. It was besides nifty as a side dish on its own. Nosotros will definitely be making this again!
08/21/2018
I thought this was ok/expert. I don't recall it was 'addictive' or stand up out as that title indicates. the 'sauce' was simply ok. I've made other stirfrys (which is what this resembles if you use the pre shredded cabbage pocketbook) that were better and the sauce stood out more. I fabricated this as specifiedv simply with sliced beef instead of ground beef. I added sliced mushrooms, saccharide snap peas and used a bag of shredded coleslaw mix to save time (as suggested by another user).
05/thirty/2017
I am giving this four stars; my husband says three. I followed ane reviewer's advice and used coleslaw mix and broccoli slaw. Very little chopping to do that way. It was quick and easy to put together. I would brand it over again. Side by side time I plan to add green onions. It seemed to be missing a piffling something.
08/23/2018
Oh my gosh. I took other reviewers advice and added more than ginger and garlic only otherwise mostly kept information technology the aforementioned. Got regular soy sauce instead of low sodium and then I didn't add salt or pepper. Information technology made me giggle when I tried the finish product. Like many others said don't exit out the lime. Information technology is the gum of the recipe. It won't sense of taste the same without information technology. Fantastic and yummy
08/12/2017
Edible but not tasty is what my married man says. The only flavor it had was something peculiar. Perhaps nosotros are not used to sesame oil.....? Will never make information technology again.
04/27/2018
So, in our business firm we try to incorporate meat substitutes into our diet often and I just made a half recipe of this using everything according to recipe (I hope sriracha qualifies as "hot sauce")but the beef, which I substituted for soy mince (reconstituted soy that has the consistency of footing beefiness). I tin come across how this is an astonishing recipe, but I already give it five stars with our vegetarian version. The veggies were crunchy and tasty, the lime added an well-nigh sweet zing to the pepper that was very refreshing ans surprising and y'all really MUST swallow this out of a basin. Why? Considering then, at the end, yous get the treat of having all that tasty meat in sauce to just scoop and gobble up. It was great with soy, with meat it must exist insane. Thank for this, sharing with the whole family!
09/16/2018
My husband won't TOUCH cooked cabbage however he loved this and had seconds! And then DID I! The only modify I made was to add a picayune Splenda to it. This is delicious even though I wasn't sure I was going to like it. Male child did nosotros ever like it! Addictive is a groovy description! Exist sure to put tons of chopped fresh Cilantro on top of each serving, too! I am going to make this for company soon. They are on a low carb diet and this fits the bill! Admittedly wonderful!
05/02/2017
I volition probably brand this once more and employ olive oil instead of the sesame oil, which was overpowering. I will also add together a tablespoon or so of vinegar and maybe a teaspoon of kokosnoot sugar. Information technology seemed like information technology needed some tangy-ness and sweetness. I besides didn't similar the texture of the ground beef paired with the cabbage, so I might use sparse sliced beef roast next fourth dimension.
01/21/2020
Lives upward to the proper noun. Loaded it with veggies. Awesome dish.
08/24/2018
Tonight surprise. Unexpected company. Depression and behold I had all of the ingredients necessary to make this spicey burger dish. Each and everyone of our guests left their plates clean. I am so pleased I had enough burger to double the recipe - cabbage from the weekend market was just waiting for this dish. Yeah I made changes - I doubled it. I will make this dish again just probably not necessary to double it. Thanks for this one piece of cake to make - tasty - salubrious and filling.
08/sixteen/2016
I fabricated a vegan version with ground Boca... It was so and then good!!!! Nosotros loved it!!!!
01/29/2019
This recipe was very skilful! It tasted even ameliorate the next twenty-four hour period. The only change we made was the dash of hot sauce. My husband put in virtually a teaspoon of chili paste. It wasn't overbearing. Information technology gave the recipe a nice flavour without being as well spicy. I will make it once again!
03/10/2019
I didn't take quite a pound of meat but stuck to the rest of the recipe. Piece of cake, fast, tasty. That ways 5 stars in my book.
01/27/2019
Really good, fresh, plenty of meat and veggies. Made exactly according to the recipe. Next time I want more spice, so I'll add chile oil or more Sriracha
08/22/2020
OMG This was delicious! We left out the hot sauce, as neither of us tolerate rut well. I served it up & when I went back to become more, it was ALL GONE ALREADY! Volition need to brand a double batch next time.
x/01/2018
Doesn't need any salt.
11/28/2019
Yes, this is addictive. Not had "crack", so tin can't compare :-). Good recipe
01/15/2020
I needed a bigger skillet and so I cooked simply one-half the needed cabbage. Without the reduced sodium soy sauce, it is salty, but still very tasty. The ginger and garlic blend well for this recipe.
08/28/2020
This dish is unusual just very tasty and easy. I used a bag of broccoli slaw and then shredded a half purple cabbage and a carrot. The colors were strange because of my combo, so I wouldn't recommend that part! I saw that others recommended adding a sweetener to the sauce, then I added 2 heaping tablespoons of frozen orange juice concentrate (which I keep in my freezer for such occasions). It reminded me of the one-pot wonders I used to concoct when I was in higher :)
07/27/2018
I used packaged slaw mix and also added GoChuJang and Chinese 5 spice. Information technology was DELICIOUS!!! I can meet why they phone call information technology Crack LOL. I can't wait to make the one with ground turkey.
08/20/2019
Definitely a keeper!!! My simply exchange was Kokosnoot aminos in identify of soy. Took longer to cook than noted, about twice the time but it's so quick it wasn't annoying. I started to eat without the lime and cilantro, then remembered. For me it kicked it upwards to the five stars, I will always add them. My husband preferred with only the lime, no cilantro. Thanks for an easy, delicious meal.
09/13/2018
Family loves this dish...nosotros omitted the "heat" seasonings & added a dash of Worcester sauce.
05/23/2016
I did non intendance for this recipe. I made information technology with equal amount of tenderloin cutting in small-scale pieces. I besides should have used prebagged slaw bc I spent a lot of time chopping this. I tasted and started adding. I wanted more acid, so added apple cider vinegar. I doubled the fresh ginger, and wish I'd have used exactly half of the cabbage.
11/25/2020
This was so easy to make and delicious. I only had green cabbage & a yellowish pepper. Extremely wonderful blend of Asian flavors. My husband loved it.
12/02/2016
It was ok. I did add sugar every bit suggested. I probably volition not make again.
06/05/2019
I made it equally directed; information technology was not very good. I will not make it again.
12/30/2019
This was delicious! Merely changes I made was I used lean basis beefiness, yellow bell pepper and a small squeeze of Sarachi sauce. Leftovers...made burritos using the Rodriguez bootleg brand of tortillas, delish! This recipe would besides make great lettuce wraps.
01/xxx/2019
I only added greenish peppers and snap peas.... it was a huge hit!!
04/17/2018
I fabricated the recipe for a family Sunday dinner. Anybody kept going dorsum for more than. I put in actress garlic and cilantro. I squeezed the lime on the dish before I served it. It was a hit.
08/07/2018
The cilantro and lime are admittedly necessary for this recipe. I used 4 TBSP each of minced garlic and ginger (I used ginger paste since that's all I had on hand). That existence said, information technology'south still missing something, but overall, it's a decent recipe.
01/twenty/2019
i've made this twice this calendar week and it is really addicting!! information technology is so piece of cake to make, the ingredients are fairly cheap, and it doesn't really take very long to make.
04/28/2020
This was astonishing, we did everything but just used a big purse of mixed colored slaw and threw in a scattering of shredded carrots, this recipe was absolutely succulent!!!! Thumbs up all around
01/06/2019
Easy and really, really good!
09/30/2020
Next time I will reduce the soy sauce; I institute the salt overpowering.
05/23/2017
I followed the recipe as written. Information technology was adept, but nil special.
02/08/2019
The recipe is very adaptable for different tastes - I used a broccoli/carrot/kale slaw in combination with a packaged cole slaw and added some red pepper flakes and light-green onions to the condiment options. Such an piece of cake and succulent meal!
12/01/2016
it was good 1.
10/08/2018
Okay, it's a really great idea and I will use the beef and veggies equally a base of operations but the sauce was WAAAAAYY too salty fifty-fifty though I used the reduced sodium soy sauce and didn't add whatever additional salt. Next time I will half the recipe on this site called Elementary Teriyaki Sauce. It is a prissy mix of water, soy sauce, garlic and ginger, brown sugar, honey, and cornstarch for thickening. I will withal go along the cilantro and lime, just will add greenish onion and sesame seed as a garnish.
01/31/2019
This had a completely different flavor from anything I ever tried before. Married man and I agreed it was practiced, but not something nosotros plan to make once again. I exercise wonder if differences in sesame oil account for the varying reviews on this recipe. I used the very dark and flavorful sesame seed oil I had left from some other recipe. I know that in the past the flavor overwhelmed me, so I cut it in half for this recipe. I too felt like I lost some of the garlic and ginger flavor when I drained the hamburger grease, so I added more than garlic and dried ginger (although I started the recipe with fresh ginger). I hold with anybody that the cilantro and fresh lime really enhanced the flavor. Hubby added a piddling brown sugar to his serving after trying information technology, and I drizzled honey on my serving. If I were to brand this again, I would cut back even more on both sesame oil and soy sauce, and I would add dearest to the mixture. I would also probably experiment with using flank steak instead of ground beef.
10/01/2018
Fabricated information technology with ground turkey instead and we loved it
10/09/2018
I gave this five stars but it needs something. I actually liked it amend after it had cooled off. Seems like there was too much cabbage and also much soy sauce. May take some of the other reviewers advice on add-ons only this was pretty skillful. Cheers for sharing! Will get in again.
09/27/2017
I had high hopes for this recipe but it was only ok.
03/26/2019
no hot sauce still fabulous
10/02/2017
This was very different for us, but very good. I used a handbag of coleslaw mix which fabricated it very easy. Information technology seemed the ratio of coleslaw to footing beef was a little too much, but of course, the coleslaw cooked down a lot. I think adjacent time I would increase the ground beefiness a scrap. I wasn't sure if hot sauce was actually "hot sauce" or Tabasco. We used "hot sauce" and needed to add some when nosotros served it. Volition certainly make again. I served information technology with rice, merely probably didn't need to.
09/19/2019
Family loved it! My trivial girl is hard to please so when she gave TWO thumbs up! I knew to keep this i.
01/08/2020
I added ii tablespoons Mirin Sauce.
09/01/2018
So expert! Even my super picky eater ate it!
08/25/2018
Succulent! I made this with ground turkey instead of beef, and added 2 minced Bird'southward Centre chili peppers to the garlic/ginger mix which gave it just the right amount of kick for me. My cabbages were quite large, then I stopped shredding when my wok was full. I'one thousand non much of a salt fan, so I might attempt information technology with less soy sauce adjacent fourth dimension, as even using depression-sodium tamari, I establish information technology a bit on the salty side.
04/25/2018
Turned out actually well! Adjacent time, fifty will utilise a petty more than hot sauce and maybe use chicken just for fun!
01/24/2021
This was so yummy! I will definitely make this once more.
x/10/2020
This was actually expert! As usual, I fabricated some changes. I had a package of organic ground beefiness from Costco, so meat was increased to 1.34lb. I used toasted sesame oil instead of canola and regular sesame oil. I didn't have bell pepper, so used 2 jalapeños. Replaced the hot sauce with red pepper flakes. I added thinly sliced celery, as I had some that needed to be used. I need to watch sodium levels, so used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. Hubby and I both thought it was really skilful and I will definitely go far over again!
x/10/2020
Love this recipe. We take this at least once every couple of weeks. We dear this with corn tortillas. But it's also good inside lettuce cups.
xi/24/2017
made this for supper final night. My girls loved it! I used whatever veggies I had on hands, basis chicken and added a bit of brown carbohydrate to the sauce. added extra garlic and no ginger as I'g not a fan. it'due south a keeper
04/21/2019
Anybody liked this! It was easy and succulent. Added some dark-green onion and white onion because I already had it cut and added extra garlic. Accept to have the cilantro and lime. They Make this dish. Otherwise, followed the recipe every bit is.
02/28/2019
Like shooting fish in a barrel and succulent! Only what I similar.
12/twenty/2017
This is delicious and easy! Definitely use an extra-big skillet or wok. I added more garlic, ginger, sesame, and cilantro considering nosotros love stiff flavors. The cilantro and lime are admittedly necessary. Someone more experienced with Thai cooking might want to experiment with calculation other ingredients, but it was a perfect weekday meal.
04/20/2020
have made this many times. Usually with a bag of slaw mix and/or broccoli slaw. E'er add extra carrots, chopped broccoli, and either a shallot of sweet onion for flavour. On it's own it's a little bland, so I add together a squirt of siracha or sugariness chili sauce. Sometimes I add leftover rice and sometimes leftover, cooked Quinoa. I ever double the veg and this makes enough for a couple dinners and a couple office lunches. reheats in micro really well. We never utilize Cilantro--I am the 10% that finds is loathsome.
04/07/2020
Love it!
06/13/2017
Pretty well received; side by side fourth dimension I volition be sure to use lower fatty hamburger. May accept needed more salt. Family liked information technology!
04/19/2020
Information technology was good. Though next time for me less soy sauce. I typically don't use much soy sauce on my Asian foods. I will be making it again and information technology was easy to make.
01/06/2018
This was a very practiced recipe. I made it co-ordinate to recipe but simply made a fleck more than sauce as I added some bok choy. I also added more than bell pepper, purchasing a pre-cutting up cup of mixed dark-green, red and xanthous bell peppers. I likewise added them to the garlic and green onions and sauteed a scrap before calculation the slaw and bok choy. In that location is a slight kicking from the combo of the Cholulu and the fresh ginger. Next time I will add fifty-fifty more slaw. My husband really liked information technology and it is very healthy and I see as other reviewers have commented, that at that place are a lot of things you tin can practise with this recipe, especially given the great sauce.
09/04/2018
Family loved it!!! I had left over Beef tenderloin which I sliced into sparse strips instead of ground beef. Followed the directions for the sliced vegetables and stir fry. Used bundle coleslaw mix. Once the veggies were tender I handed the beef and heated it through. Added the sesame oil, soy sauce and lime. I was delicious. New family favorite
10/thirty/2016
To blah to consider making once more.
08/08/2018
This is a family favorite! Addictive is right! This fits in perfectly with THM and tastes swell. It's easy to make and doesn't need annihilation "extra". Corking recipe, cheers!
02/04/2020
I volition make this once again, used a lot more cilantro and half again basis turkey for majority and poly peptide.
09/12/2019
i used leftover roast beef, shredded very tasty
06/07/2018
Followed the directions exactly and information technology was delicious. Quick, easy, good in your breadbasket meal
09/14/2018
Now that I eat Keto (LCHF), I made a couple of adjustments: Skipped Canola and subbed Coconut oil. Used ane Lb. Ground Pork for a more than typical flavor Used Sambal instead of hot sauce. Used Coconut Aminos in lieu of Soy Sauce. This is a the best quick and easy, i skillet Keto dinner! My non-keto family loves information technology as well!!
01/29/2019
Easy, quick and succulent. I used i parcel of Cole slaw to save time. I call up the next fourth dimension I make this recipe, I may add a tin can of h2o chest nuts and some roasted sesame seeds. Overall, great recipe!
09/18/2018
I loved this! Beefiness and cabbage is one of my favorite combos and this was a new season. I made it without cilantro and information technology was still and then proficient!
03/02/2018
Made it 2 times in ii days!! I used Chinese cabbage with regular cabbage. I used a mix of ground pork and velveted steak. Added a lot of garlic sriracha and a lot of Thai garlic chili sauce. Soooo great.
x/sixteen/2017
Great family favorite recipe! I made almost as written - I didn't add the sriracha to the sauce, I added information technology to those plates that similar it. It'due south a wonderful base that can be changed based on what'south you take on hand. I've substituted the kind of beef and added more, added sesame seeds for garnish and switched upwards vegetables and it ever gets eaten upward.
01/31/2019
First-class lo-carb recipe. Followed recipe on the first become round. Next time I would cut back slightly on the soy sauce. Likewise, I shredded cabbage a little too thin. Next time I would go a bit thicker to requite it more trunk. I think ground pork, ground turkey or thinly sliced steak would exist first-class besides. Maybe a use for leftover beef roast? Delicious!
04/29/2019
I fabricated this with ground elk and powdered garlic. My family unit all loved it--I'll definitely put it in the rotation!
08/11/2017
As well salty! I used less than a 1/tertiary loving cup of calorie-free soy sauce. Next time I'll add information technology little past little and taste equally I go. It could've turned out really tasty. I'll likewise add more garlic and ginger next fourth dimension.
10/07/2018
This was super proficient!
01/27/2019
Not for me. I thought the hot sauce and the soy sauce didn't become together. Peradventure if I had used Chinese chili sauce instead information technology would have been better, just the recipe didn't specify a type of hot sauce. I was glad I drained the hamburger grease before adding sesame oil. Even withal it was a bit greasy. It was okay but not something I volition make again.
02/26/2020
Loved it! I might apply a trivial more than Sriracha next time than I did, just this was great!
01/06/2018
We loved it and will definitely brand over again. I used venison instead of beef, tahini instead of sesame oil, tri slaw mix instead of cabbage and carrots, lemons instead of limes, and used a mix of jalapeno and bell pepper. Omitted hot sauce and cilantro. The boys added peanuts to theirs.
09/22/2020
Pretty tasty and like shooting fish in a barrel to make. Good for an economic weeknight meal. Instead of green and purple cabbage, I used half a Napa cabbage. Make sure to use toasted sesame oil, equally opposed to regular sesame oil—it'll brand a huge difference in flavor. I served this over white rice.
05/21/2020
I doubled the recipe. Perchance that's why it didn't plow out smashing.
02/17/2020
I also used a precut coleslaw pocketbook and added a cut up green pepper and 2 babe bok choy. I was agape at that place would be too much soy sauce and sesame oil, so I mixed those upward together and added to taste, some shiracha, and a little sugar. The cilantro and lime juice is a must.
08/19/2018
I used fish sauce instead of soy sauce and added broccoli w/cabbages & peppers. Used ground turkey. Made a lot merely we ate almost all in i meal. Great for healthy dinner. Will brand again.
03/26/2019
no hot sauce withal fabulous
07/xx/2016
This was a winner at my firm last nighttime. We wanted something light, yet filling and here information technology was!
05/18/2021
I made this equally written. Information technology was quick, easy and low carb. My 3 star rating is because the NEXT Time I make this dish I will add love, more ginger and more than hot sauce. To me, it was missing a footling sugariness. Give thanks you for this recipe considering it's easy to tailor to your own tastes.
10/03/2020
Wayyy also easy & GREAT FLAVOR!!! The sauce is perfect with the addition of a fiddling more hot sauce & fresh cilantro, OMWOW this is a keeper I used a cast atomic number 26 Dutch oven cuz I was too lazy to go the wok out, didn't brand whatsoever departure to me
